Independent Ink is a locally owned, full-service tattoo and piercing studio in the mountains of Frostburg, Maryland. Currently, we have four highly-skilled tattoo artists and one experienced body piercer. Our artists work in a broad range of styles; from old school, traditional, fine-line, Japanese, and realism to Americana. Our piercer, Adam Wood, is among the most experienced piercers in the region, with years of expertise in both traditional and exotic body piercings. Furthermore, Adam can fulfill almost any of your needs; from a basic ear piercing to micro dermal anchors. We are proud to say that he is the only piercer in the area who is skilled in micro dermal anchors, with over 2 years of excellent results. This dedication represents more time and a higher volume of micro dermal anchors than any other piercer in the area.

In keeping with state law, we would like to note that individuals must be 18 to be tattooed and must have photo I.D. To get a piercing, you must be 13 or older. If you are under 18 and are looking to get pierced, we require a birth certificate, photo I.D. ( e.g. yearbook picture), and the parent's photo I.D.

At Independent Ink, we pride ourselves in our capabilities of counseling our clients in assuring them that the tattoo they choose fits the body properly and the design is custom to each individual. We also pride ourselves in our knowledge of blood-borne pathogens and prevention of cross contamination. In keeping with safety and sanitation, we work in a health regulated facility and undergo annual inspections.
